WAXING FAQ

FAQ: FAQ

HOW LONG DOES MY HAIR NEED TO BE?

In order to recieve the best possible wax, your hair should be at least 1/4 inch in length or the length of a grain of rice.

WHO CAN'T BE WAXED?

  • If you are currently on Accutane or have been in the past six months, you are unable to be waxed.

  • If you are currently recieving cancer treatments or have in the past six months, you are unable to be waxed.

  • If you are currently on any Retin-A products/medications you will need to discontinue use for at least seven days before your service.

  • If you have any contagious skin condtions, you will need to be cleared by a medical professional prior to your service.

  • If you have been tanning in the past 48 hours, you are unable to be waxed.

  • If you've had a chemical peel or medical injections such as Botox, it is recommend to wait at least seven days before facial waxing services.

IS WAXING PAINFUL?

Everyone's pain tolerance is different. Waxing can cause discomfort so we recomend taking an over the counter pain reliever about 30 minutes prior to your appointment.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR A WAX?

Gentle exfoliate the area that is to be waxed, the day before. Follow up with a gentle moisturizer to hydrate and soften the skin. We suggest taking an Ibuprophen, about 45 minutes prior to your service, if you are worried about pain.

I'M ON MY PERIOD, CAN I STILL GET WAXED?

Absolutely! Being waxed on or off your period is personal preference. While we understand a period can be unpredictable, we will not waive cancellation fees based on late cancellations due to a period.

HOW SHOULD I TAKE CARE OF MY SKIN AFTER A WAX?

For the first 24/48 hours, post wax, refrain from swimming, saunas, hot tubs, working out, intimacy, and anything that would introduce bacteria to the open pores. After the first 24 hours, we suggest you start your aftercare routine (exfoliation and hyrdation).

I'M PREGNANT, CAN I STILL BE WAXED?

Of course!! We strive to make you feel comfortable and confident. As you get closer to the end of your pregnancy, we ask that you consult with your care team if you are concerned about waxing.

I'VE BEEN TANNING, CAN I STILL GET WAXED?

If you've tanned in the last 48 hours, you will need to wait to recieve waxing services.

DO YOU OFFER WAXING SERVICES FOR MEN?

Yes! We offer most waxing services for men. Unforunately, I am not trained in "Manzilian's" so I do not offer male intimate waxing pertaining to male genitalia.
